Koh Samui has some of the most spectacular diving sites in Asia with colourful corals and an impressive array of marine life.  Whale sharks, moray eels and vibrant sea anemones can often be spotted when diving near the recognised site of Sail Rock which is approximately a 45 minute speedboat ride north from Koh Samui.  Diving operators run regular excursions from areas such as Cheweng and Bophut beaches.

 Be sure to find a school with experienced instructors if you choose to dive in this region, many are listed on the PADI website and will cater for beginners to those who are at an advanced level.
